fields. Their collective expertise encompasses clinical practice, regulatory
affairs and researching, as well as the areas of business management, licensing
and finance. These individuals, listed below, sit on Blue-Zone’s Advisory Board.
They bring complementary skills to the Blue-Zone Management Team, and have been
instrumental in addressing Blue-Zone’s corporate needs.
Dr. Bob Byrick, MD, FRCPC -
Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and Professor of Anesthesia, University
of Toronto, is facilitating field trials of the Delta Technology at the
University of Toronto teaching hospitals.
Richard Bower, B.Sc., Ph.D. (Physics) -
President, CaPaRim International Inc. and former Director General, Industry,
Science and Technology Canada, is assisting in business development, and
identifying international strategic alliances and licensing
opportunities.
Donald Bennett, B.Sc. (Econ.), CA - Partner
of Bennett Gold Chartered Accountants is preparing cash flow projections and
arranging financing.
Matthew Cook, B.Comm, PFP - Senior
Investment Advisor, BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., specializing in financial markets,
securities and insurance, is currently assisting with insurance and financial
planning.
Dr. John Doyle, MD, Ph.D., FRCPC- Department
of General Anesthesiology, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio.
Formerly Associate Professor, University of Toronto and Toronto General
Hospital, currently advises the company on the implementation of the Delta
Technology in an operating room setting.
Dr. Ian French, B.S.P., Ph.D. - President
and CEO of PharmaMedica Research Inc., new drug regulatory affairs expert, is
assisting in the New Drug Submission for Deltane™ with the Health Protection
Branch of Canada.
E. Michael Koshowski, B. Sc. - Former
General Manager of Ohmeda Pharmaceutical Products (Division of BOC Canada Ltd.),
a leading supplier of inhalation anesthetics, is assisting in the marketing,
sales and operations of the Deltane™ anesthetic area of the business, including
manufacturing and distribution.
Bob Laughlin, P.Eng., Ph.D. - Former
Director, Process Technologies for ORTECH Corporation, was involved in the
development and demonstration projects for the Delta Technology (1987- 1991) and
will provide technical assistance to the company.
Anna Mallin, BA, LL.B., - Barrister and
Solicitor, expert in Technology Transfer and Licensing, is assisting with legal
matters.
Adele Matsalla, B.Sc. - President of AM
Regulatory Services and specialist in Regulatory Affairs, will review and assess
the regulatory documentation for Deltane™ to assure prompt
approvals.
Peter Morand, B.Sc., Ph.D. - President and
CEO of the Canadian Science and Growth Fund Inc., and Chair of the Ottawa
Sciences Council, is assisting with financing and business
matters.
Vladan M. Veljovic, B.S., MBA - Managed the
first commercial implementation of the technology for industrial applications,
and is now involved in the commercialization of the Delta Program in hospital
settings.
